Li Xingjia was born in 1947 in Tai'an, Shandong. For decades he has taken Mount Tai as teacher and companion, translating its peaks, cloud seas, pines and stones into the language of ink.

His practice brings observation and tradition together. Landscape painting, calligraphy and flower-and-bird works share a belief that a few measured brushstrokes can hold an entire world.
Li Xingjia is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and the Shandong Artists Association, and has studied at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University.
